Description

Own the business success of a portfolio of Aerospace & Defense products by driving product strategy, market positioning, revenue growth, and profitability. Serve as the voice of the customer and market expert, balancing customer needs and market opportunities with business objectives. Lead product line performance and roadmap execution through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own product line performance: revenue growth, profitability, bookings, margin expansion, and market share

• Develop and execute product strategies aligned to annual operating plans and long-term objectives

• Lead pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, and investment prioritization

• Monitor product financial performance and drive corrective actions to hit targets

• Act as customer and market expert; build relationships with OEMs, defense primes, government agencies, and strategic customers

• Identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and customer requirements to shape strategy and growth

• Support strategic pursuits, customer engagements, industry events, and executive business reviews

• Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned to customer needs, technology trends, and business goals

• Build business cases for new product development and technology/portfolio expansion opportunities

• Partner with Engineering to ensure roadmap priorities deliver customer and business value

• Lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment and resolve tradeoffs to balance customer, operational, and financial requirements

• Communicate product strategy and portfolio performance to senior leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field

• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Line Management, Business Development, Program Management, or related leadership roles

• Aerospace & Defense industry experience strongly preferred

• Demonstrated ownership of product line revenue, profitability, pricing strategy, and business performance

• Strong customer-facing ability at both technical and executive levels

• Proven ability to influence cross-functional organizations in a matrixed environment

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs; ability to identify AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
