Description

Own the systems that power the consumer experience for delivery tracking and delivery management. Build full-stack applications and APIs for delivery tracking, consumer notifications, and internal support tools, integrating with data science systems to enable data-informed decisions. Provide technical leadership and mentoring while driving high-impact architectural solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, test, and deploy full stack applications and APIs for delivery tracking, notifications, and support staff tools
• Modify designs and specifications for complex distributed microservice applications
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute constructive suggestions
• Collaborate with end-users, engineers, data scientists, and product managers in a fast-moving environment
• Analyze code, requirements, system risks, and software reliability; recommend efficient use of technology
• Work with Product and Design to confirm requirements, prioritize, and evaluate tradeoffs across business, technical, and product outcomes
• Integrate data-science decisions into product offerings
• Enable automated workflows via integration with large language models
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers; align with other staff engineers on technical strategy

Requirements

• 6+ years building, testing and deploying applications in high traffic production environments
• 4+ years developing software with AWS, TypeScript, Node.js, React and serverless event-driven technologies
• Solid serverless patterns, data structures, and system design background
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
