Description

Provide technical leadership and coordination of process improvements for US Motion System Drives manufacturing production lines. Improve safety through technology, work cell redesign, and ergonomics, and help drive world-class quality via work instructions, PFMEAs, poke-yoke/error-proofing, and ECN management. Lead automation upgrades (e.g., robotics, vision systems, and AGVs) and manage multiple change projects to increase capacity, meet customer demand, and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and improve site safety using technology, work cell redesign, and improved ergonomics
  • Support quality by assisting or writing work instructions, completing PFMEAs, implementing poke-yoke/error-proofing, and managing ECNs
  • Ensure compliance and drive improvements to the quality management system
  • Drive capacity improvements through kaizens to meet customer demand and execute cost savings initiatives
  • Plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously using change management to manage risks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and manage phase in/phase out of changes with strong follow-through
  • Spearhead automation improvements by implementing key manufacturing process technologies including robotics, vision systems, AGVs, and poke-yoke controls
  • Support contractor management, requirement specification development, and project management tasks tied to change

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or related Engineering/Science
  • 8+ years of experience working as an Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineer
  • Basic understanding of CAD software (Autodesk/AutoCAD preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ERP software, preferably SAP
  • US work authorization to work for ABB
