Description

The Associate Director – Process Engineering supervises engineers and technicians supporting daily operations of an advanced therapies manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliant and reliable equipment, control applications, and building/facility systems are used to manufacture advanced therapies drug products. It also oversees capital projects from concept through close-out and partners across engineering and functional teams to meet technical, business, and compliance priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop engineering staff (process, process control/automation, and plant engineers)
• Oversee capital projects from concept through close-out in a compliant manner
• Drive operational excellence by maintaining a state of compliance, tracking key performance indicators, and removing barriers to performance
• Set and reinforce engineering rigor standards and apply First Principles with Global Engineering and other LP2 areas
• Serve as an active member of site leadership for long-term site master plan strategy and recapitalization efforts

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical engineering manufacturing-related experience, preferably including biosynthetic drug substance and/or sterile drug product operations
