Description

You will administer and optimize cloud and virtualization infrastructure across a multi-cloud setup, including VMware ESXi/vSphere and Microsoft 365. You will implement and monitor security policies, manage Windows Server and Windows domain infrastructure, and support 2nd/3rd-level incident troubleshooting. A hands-on, automation-focused role with documentation and internal trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain VMware ESXi hosts and vSphere environments

  • Manage and optimize Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange, Intune, and SharePoint

  • Implement and monitor security policies in multi-cloud environments

  • Manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Windows domain infrastructure with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DHCP; further develop network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)

  • Administer Git repositories and CI/CD processes to automate development and deployment workflows

  • Provide active 2nd- and 3rd-level support and resolve complex IT issues

  • Create and maintain documentation and conduct trainings for internal specialist teams

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure administration and DevOps environments

  • Proven experience in systems administration, especially Microsoft 365 and Windows domains

  • Expertise in network engineering (VLANs, VPNs, firewall basics), plus network monitoring and troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of IT security (e.g., MFA, patch management, Defender, security policies, system hardening)

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident troubleshooting

  • Experience with cloud and virtualization technologies such as Microsoft 365, VMware ESXi, vSphere, Kubernetes, and Docker

  • Knowledge of automation and infrastructure management, especially with PowerShell

  • Agile mindset, solution-oriented thinking, teamwork, and hands-on mentality

  • Fluent German and English
