Description

We are looking for a VP II of Software Engineering to lead and shape the technology organization responsible for Investor Experience for end-investors and institutions. The role delivers integrated capabilities through self-service investor-facing platforms, fostering engineering excellence and leading high-performing teams in an environment that collaborates closely with Engineering, Product, and Design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering team to deliver technology solutions including standards, pre-production environments, and development tools

  • Drive and support AI Enablement and Engineering Transformation

  • Adopt AI-assisted software development practices (code generation, automated testing, developer copilots) to improve productivity and code quality

  • Partner with agile team leaders to share learnings, mitigate technical dependencies, plan capacity needs, and establish consistent practices across agile teams

  • Provide daily oversight of development quality

  • Partner with solution architecture teams to establish scalable-platform patterns

  • Recruit, coach, and manage software engineering talent across product teams

  • Lead Agile delivery across product teams: sprint/release planning, capacity and dependency management, removing impediments, and partnering with Product/Engineering/Architecture stakeholders to meet quality and business priorities

  • Provide deep technical guidance and stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

  • Manage internal/external stakeholder relationships, including vendors, clients, and partners

  • Identify and mitigate risks tied to cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance

  • Contribute to strategic planning by identifying technology opportunities for business growth and assessing risks of emerging technologies

  • Drive continuous improvement across software development and Agile delivery practices to enhance efficiency, delivery predictability, productivity, and quality

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • 15+ years designing interactive web applications with full-stack development

  • 15+ years developing microservices

  • 15+ years delivering public cloud solutions

  • 15+ years with web services (REST APIs)

  • 15+ years with Kafka messaging and integrating with vendor APIs

  • 15+ years experience across .NET, Angular, JavaScript, C#, SQL Server, AWS (containers and serverless), Git, Visual Studio, and/or front-end technologies

  • 10+ years leading Agile software delivery teams in a Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, or Technology Leadership capacity

  • 5+ years as a Solution Architect designing and implementing complex systems, including solutions built from scratch

Preferences

  • Cloud technology solution experience; AWS certifications preferred

  • Financial industry experience, especially wealth and asset management

  • Strong executive presence and excellent verbal/written communication

  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into an Account View platform to enhance personalization and insights

  • Experience establishing responsible AI standards and guardrails (data privacy, model governance, regulatory compliance)

  • Experience leveraging machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation to modernize workflows and reduce manual effort

  • Ability to partner with enterprise AI, Data, and Architecture teams to align with AI strategy and reusable capabilities

  • Ability to upskill engineering teams on AI/ML concepts, tools, and best practices

  • Pay range: $192,095.00 - $320,227.00 (base salary varies based on relevant skill, prior experience, education, internal peer base salary, demonstrated performance, and geographic location)
