The Impact You Will Make

Investment Operations delivers post-trade capabilities that help ensure investment positions, cash, and transactions are accurate, reconciled, and trusted across the investment lifecycle.

The Corporate Actions Product Area develops technology for processing corporate action events for leading investment managers, driving automation, reducing operational risk, and supporting accurate investment operations at scale.

The team is building a unified cloud-native application that provides capabilities for operations users and integrates with the broader ecosystem through an action centre for AI-powered notifications. This role contributes to transforming unified operations user journeys.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Lead 1–2 Software Engineering teams within the Investment Operations Corporate Actions Product Area, including staffing and team development.
  • Work closely with Product Management to understand and refine customer outcomes.
  • Lead the day-to-day work of Scrum teams and own short-term business deliverables and long-term improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders on product quality, security, delivery, and system performance.
  • Provide input into the strategic direction of product areas.
  • Work as part of a team of 4–5 Engineering Managers and report to the Director of Engineering.

Technical Competencies

  • Experience with the .NET ecosystem, including C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, and Web APIs, for scalable enterprise-grade applications.
  • Understanding of web application architecture, including RESTful services, microservices or modular monolith patterns, and event-driven systems.
  • Understanding of modern UI frameworks such as Angular or React; Angular is preferred.
  • Understanding of cloud-native design principles, CI/CD pipelines, observability, resilience, and scalability.
  • Familiarity with secure coding, performance optimization, and distributed-system design.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, NoSQL, and caching strategies.
  • Understanding of AI-assisted software development and modern engineering productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, with the ability to support responsible AI adoption.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to financial systems, capital-markets platforms, or high-volume transactional systems.
  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and platform-engineering concepts.
