Description

Lead 1–2 teams of Software Engineers within the Investment Operations Corporate Actions Product Area to deliver a unified cloud-native application for the operations persona, integrated into the SimCorp One ecosystem via SimCorp One Action Centre (AI-powered notifications). Opportunity to contribute to transformation of unified operations persona user journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Leading 1–2 teams of Software Engineers, responsible for staffing and team development.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to understand and refine customer outcomes.
  • Lead day-to-day scrum team work with responsibility for short-term deliverables and long-term improvements.
  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders on product quality, security, delivery, and system performance.
  • Provide input to the strategic direction of the product areas.
  • Report to the Director of Engineering and be part of a team of 4–5 Engineering Managers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience leading software engineers.
  • Deep software engineering expertise to design and evolve complex systems.
  • Ability to coach engineers on architecture, system design, quality engineering, AI-assisted development, observability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Build a collaborative and open culture; work effectively across a large international organization.
  • Pride in delivering sound software solutions to clients.

Technical Competencies

  • .NET ecosystem (C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs)
  • Web application architecture: RESTful services, microservices / modular monolith patterns, event-driven systems
  • Modern UI frameworks (Angular, React, or similar; Angular preferred) and front-end integration patterns
  • Cloud-native design principles: CI/CD pipelines, observability, resilience, scalability
  • Secure coding, performance optimization, distributed system design
  • Data storage technologies: SQL Server, NoSQL, caching strategies
  • AI-assisted software development and engineering productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot), with responsible adoption of AI capabilities

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to financial systems / capital markets platforms or high-volume transactional systems
  • Frontend micro-frontend (MFE) architectures
  • Multi-tenant SaaS architectures and platform engineering concepts
