Description

Senior-level hands-on replication engineer / DBA hybrid responsible for maintaining and evolving a multi-platform data replication architecture spanning IMS (z/OS), IBM CDC Replication, SQL Server replication, and cloud targets. You will assume ownership of an existing, stable, production-critical environment, leveraging existing documentation while working with a high degree of independence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support end-to-end data replication pipelines across IMS (z/OS) → IBM CDC → SQL Server → cloud platforms
  • Deploy database and application changes into Production environments
  • Administer and support SQL Server replication
  • Administer and support IBM InfoSphere CDC (IDR) replication processes
  • Analyze and implement schema and structural changes across systems
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and synchronization across all environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve replication failures and performance issues
  • Build and maintain SQL Server database links across environments
  • Assume operational ownership with minimal oversight and maintain/enhance process documentation and runbooks for repeatable operations

Requirements

  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Senior-level hands-on replication engineering / DBA hybrid experience (L9 expectation)
  • Strong experience with SQL Server replication
  • Oracle database knowledge
  • IMS (z/OS) functional familiarity
  • Ability to independently take over responsibilities from a transitioning resource
  • Comfort working in a low-oversight, high-accountability environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong awareness of cross-system change impacts
  • Capable of working with limited SME backup and evolving documentation
