Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience in developing and maintaining ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience with SQL Server Agent job scheduling and monitoring.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of the Snowflake cloud-based data platform.
• Build and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from multiple source systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex stored procedures, functions, views, and SQL scripts to implement business rules and data transformation logic.
• Implement data validation and data quality checks within ETL processes.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling.
• Manage change and deployment activities.
• Perform database maintenance activities, including index and query optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL package development and maintenance.
• Practical experience with SQL Server Agent job scheduling and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling.
• Hands-on knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
• Experience working with the Snowflake cloud data platform.
• Ability to implement data validation and data quality controls within ETL processes.
• Experience in database maintenance, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
