Description

Manage the portfolio of strategic and development initiatives and support decisions on what to do, why to do it, when to do it, and what business outcomes to achieve. Own responsibility for an effective end-to-end initiative lifecycle—from initial business need through delivery and measurement of value. Run and evolve Portfolio Kanban to ensure smooth flow, remove blocks and unnecessary steps, simplify processes and governance for faster decisions, and prepare decision-support materials for the Management Board.

Responsibilities

• Manage the portfolio of strategic and development initiatives; support decisions on priorities, sequencing, investments, and tradeoffs.
• Ensure effective end-to-end initiative lifecycle from business need through delivery and value measurement.
• Collaborate with Management Board, Business Owners, Product Management, IT, and stakeholders to define portfolio priorities.
• Run and evolve Portfolio Kanban to ensure smooth flow of initiatives.
• Identify where initiatives wait, get blocked, or pass unnecessary steps; drive changes to remove issues.
• Simplify processes, rules, and governance to enable faster decisions at the right organizational level.
• Use data and Flow Metrics to measure process effectiveness and identify bottlenecks.
• Prepare recommendations for priorities, sequencing, investments, and tradeoffs between competing initiatives.
• Monitor portfolio impact from perspectives of business impact, strategic objectives, costs, risks, and dependencies.
• Prepare clear and concise decision-support materials for Management Board and organizational leaders.
• Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation within Portfolio Management and across the initiative lifecycle.
• Work with Agile and BSA capabilities to continuously improve how the organization operates.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Portfolio Management, program management, large-scale initiatives, or similar role in an IT, digital, or product environment.
• Ability to look beyond individual initiatives and understand the broader system, flow of work, and dependencies.
• Experience at the intersection of business, product, and technology.
• Understanding of Lean Portfolio Management and hands-on experience with Agile / SAFe.
• Experience working with senior management; translate complex information into clear recommendations and decisions.
• Strong analytical skills; confident working with data.
• Focus on outcomes, business value, and time-to-value.
• Independence, ownership, and willingness to challenge “why” and simplify.
• Openness to experimenting with AI and new ways of working.
• Excellent communication skills in Polish and English.

Nice to have

• SAFe certification (LPM, SA, POPM, APM, or similar).
• Experience in Portfolio / PMO / VMO transformation or project-to-product operating model transformation.
• Knowledge of Flow Metrics, OKRs, Lean Budgeting, Participatory Budgeting, or Guardrails.
• Experience designing or simplifying organizational processes.
• Hands-on experience with AI and building AI-powered solutions (agents, automations, workflows, tools supporting everyday work and business processes).
• Practical experience using GenAI for analysis, information synthesis, work automation, process improvement, and decision support.
• Practical experience with Jira / Jira Align and Power BI or similar analytical tools.
