QA Automation Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and backend services.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing using platforms such as BrowserStack.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Identify, log, and track bugs, and proactively drive root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, and automation practices.
• Analyze requirements and specifications to ensure testability and identify potential quality risks early.
• Participate in code reviews and provide input on testability and test coverage.
• Work in a self-organized, detail-oriented manner in an agile environment.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with the team.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, focused on both manual and automated testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, particularly Playwright.
• Experience with cross-browser testing, including BrowserStack or similar tools.
• Solid knowledge of programming and scripting languages/frameworks, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Strong manual testing skills, including exploratory, regression, and edge-case testing.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and tools such as Postman or curl for API-level validation.
• Basic understanding of Go-based backends to support test design and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development workflow.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Passion for quality and strong attention to detail.
