• Location: Poland (ideally Tricity: Gdańsk/Gdynia), optional Warsaw; mandatory 3 days/week office presence

• Team: Equity Trading Solutions / Front Office Application Maintenance; 10 engineers

Description

You will join an Equity DevOps team responsible for equity trading platforms that cover order management, exchange connectivity, risk and position management, and low-latency market making across equity cash products, derivatives and funds. The infrastructure handles up to a billion transactions daily with high demands on performance, stability and scalability under load, including extreme market conditions. You will cooperate closely with development and trading teams to keep trading applications running smoothly and improve the way of working for traders.

Responsibilities

• Component upgrades in Front Arena space

• Refining decoupling legacy flows (Front Arena)

• Performance improvement of OMNI and Front Arena

• Handle complex issues requiring involvement of several teams

• Work with Incident, Change and Problem Management

• Simplify and modernize trading applications

• Manage automation projects for supported applications and working environment

• Maintain and expand business flow monitoring

• Create and update knowledge base

• Maintain relations with stakeholders (Traders)

• Translate business requirements into IT language and ensure timely delivery

• Participate in multiple projects for the area

• Communicate with vendor support teams

Requirements

• Business understanding of Order Management Systems (Electronic Trading) in Capital Markets domain (MUST)

• Hands-on experience in Python (MUST)

• Self-driven and motivated; proactively seek improvement opportunities

• Efficient cooperation with peers in business and development to deliver high quality service

• Experience supporting business-critical applications in a high-pace environment

• Basic understanding of application/development lifecycle

• Interest in how backend of trading works

• Flexible task stack (operations / development / analysis)

• Analytical problem-solving, good communication, and team player

• Ability to shift priorities and self-manage workload

Technical Stack

• MUST-HAVE: Front Arena (or deep knowledge about the equity trading domain)

• MUST-HAVE: FIX protocol

• MUST-HAVE: CI/CD pipelines
