Description

You will design, develop, maintain, and modernise business-critical applications within the ICB Hub technology landscape, turning business requirements into robust technical solutions with stability, quality, and operational excellence. Responsibilities include development on IBM i (AS400) and delivering solutions in RPG, COBOL, CL, and DB2, collaborating with analysts/architects/testers to drive sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business-critical applications running on the IBM i (AS400) platform
• Design and implement solutions using RPG, COBOL, CL, and DB2
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers, and application specialists
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation)
• Drive application modernisation, technical debt reduction, and continuous improvement
• Provide L2/L3 support and assist with incident and problem resolution for critical production systems
• Contribute to integration initiatives involving APIs, messaging, and surrounding banking systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IBM i (AS400) application development and maintenance
• Strong experience with RPG IV / RPGLE, COBOL, CL, and DB2
• Experience with modern development practices, source control, and testing/deployment processes
• Experience designing and supporting high-available and critical systems on IBM i (AS-400)
• Experience working within banking, payments, financial services, or other mission-critical enterprise environments
• Strong written and spoken English communication for international collaboration
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Experience working in the IT industry
