Description

The Development Lead owns end-to-end product development for the squad—designs, guides, and delivers features to solve customer problems by working backwards from user needs to technical solutions. The role leads the Value Stream within the Product House, collaborating with Product Managers to set goals, manage sprints, drive team metrics, and ensure quality delivery through hands-on mentorship. You also collaborate with QA teams to support continuous delivery and 12-hour development cycles, and you are accountable for key delivery metrics like cycle time, release quality, and customer adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product development for the squad
• Lead the Value Stream ensuring alignment with group engineering and product standards
• Collaborate with Product Managers to set goals, manage sprints, and improve team metrics
• Ensure quality delivery through effective mentorship of developers
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure continuous delivery and 12-hour development cycles
• Improve delivery metrics: cycle time, release quality, customer adoption
• Eliminate customer pain points by fixing bugs, analyzing root causes, resolving technical debt
• Address security, scalability, and performance issues to maintain reliability and customer trust
• Drive technical excellence with architectural guidance, design system components, and technical specifications
• Develop comprehensive testing strategies
• Validate and innovate using technology analysis, proof-of-concepts, and system evaluations
• Deploy and scale solutions on existing environments while designing for future growth
• Build engineering capability through best practices, knowledge sharing, and skill development

Requirements

• Experience in agile product development environment
• 3+ years of team management and/or system design experience
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience
• Extensive knowledge of used technologies:
  • Backend: C#, .Net, Entity Framework, SQL
  • Frontend: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, Angular JS, Angular
• Extensive knowledge of used tools: Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, Docker, Redis
• Knowledge of software design and architecture, software testing, system integration, and system administration
• Working knowledge of continuous integration / continuous delivery
• Working knowledge of information security and privacy
• Understanding of product management, UX/UI design, IT service management
• Customer obsession
• Agile expertise and systems thinking
• Strong collaboration skills
• Knowledge of “Working Backwards”
