Scala Spark Developer

Description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Scala Spark in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Analyze data in large-scale Datalakes and validate tests using Apache Airflow.

Collaborate with global teams (onsite and remote) to deliver solutions in a Scrum/Agile environment.

• Refine technical backlog items and support Product Owners in prioritization.
• Perform standard code maintenance: testing, refactoring, and debugging.
• Share knowledge across teams and participate in the end-to-end product development cycle, including production releases.
• Challenge existing processes while adhering to regulatory and industry standards.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Scala and Spark.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow and basic Python.
• Hands-on experience working in a Scrum framework.
• Excellent English communication skills, including discussions and presentations.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP and other major cloud providers, including Azure and AWS.
• Knowledge of JUnit, TDD, BDD, and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Clean Code, SOLID, KISS, DRY, and design patterns.
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Secure coding certifications, such as Secure Code Warrior.
