Senior FullStack Java Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for the Collateral platform using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
• Apply DevOps and Agile principles to streamline development and improve team velocity.
• Ensure test-driven development (TDD) with JUnit, integration tests, regression tests, and Cucumber for end-to-end acceptance testing.
• Collaborate closely with QA teams to enhance code quality and development efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members and drive innovative solutions for complex business challenges.
• Support the platform through incident resolution, monitoring, and problem management.
• Develop automated tools to improve operational efficiency and support functions.
• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Java 17/21 and Spring Boot for microservices development.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and DevSecOps pipeline setup/maintenance.
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile and/or DevOps teams.
• Experience with TDD, including JUnit, integration tests, regression tests, and Cucumber, in a CI environment.
• Proven ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and a self-motivated approach to learning new technologies.
• Track record of delivering significant projects from conception to completion.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot.
• Familiarity with Spring Cloud: Hystrix, Eureka, Zuul, Sleuth, Feign, and Ribbon.
• Experience with distributed applications using in-memory data stores, such as Oracle Coherence, Redis, and Hazelcast.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, messaging systems (MQ, Solace), and automated deployment tools (Ansible).
• Experience with TypeScript, Angular, and HTML5 for full-stack development.
• Cloud experience with GCP or AWS.
• Knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
