AWS DevOps Engineer

Role description

• Supporting project teams to build safe, reliable, and secure systems that address business needs.
• Providing on-call support, solving technical problems, and resolving incidents.
• Writing clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assisting in AWS account management and operating key platform services.
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure secure and efficient project launches.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Experience leading major incident investigations and providing on-call support.
• Python development skills for automation, or strong scripting skills.
• Broad cloud-services experience, particularly with AWS.
• Understanding of DevOps, Agile methodologies, and a “you build it, you own it, you support it” mentality.
• Enterprise infrastructure delivery experience.
• Proficiency with Linux, Windows, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code tools: Git, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Strong focus on security in AWS environments.

• AWS certifications.
• Advanced Terraform skills.
• Linux or Windows certifications.
• Non-functional testing experience.
• Risk management and compliance knowledge.
• Experience in highly regulated industries.
