Senior Solution Engineer

Description

As the Lead Solution Engineer, you will be part of the SEM Platform team, working primarily with Senior Solution Engineers and architects to configure, develop, implement and integrate solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics. You will understand business needs and help Product Architects and Product Owners translate them into solution architecture specifications and services aligned with engineering standards and roadmaps.

You will help build technical strategy, align architecture with business objectives, and drive high-quality solution engineering throughout the software development lifecycle in the Commerce IT landscape. You will oversee end-to-end platform operations, ensure service-level agreement compliance, and collaborate with DevOps teams on efficient development pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, develop and deliver IT solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics and Azure technology stack.
• Customize, configure and engineer solutions with the team.
• Integrate solutions with other systems and data sources to enable seamless data flow and process automation.
• Ensure adherence to solution standards and architectural guidelines.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, mentoring and engineering talent development; foster learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Oversee and resolve immediate technical challenges.
• Coordinate solution development and technical-debt management; act as the key technical decision-maker and problem-solver.
• Collaborate with Dev Leads, Product Owners and the Engineering Manager to maintain a stable workload and appropriately sized backlog.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions and represent the domain in wider technical discussions.
• Own technical responsibilities and collaborate with in-house development teams, penetration-testing vendors and technical partners to resolve challenges.
• Create and maintain documentation and knowledge-transfer processes to support ongoing operations and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• About 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of mandatory technologies.
• Experience rolling out global solutions across multiple markets.
• Proven ability to work with engineers at different experience levels.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and on diverse projects, technologies, products and systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make critical technical decisions.

Mandatory Technology Stack and Software Development Background

• Proven enterprise experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE/CRM.
• Strong Dynamics customization and configuration knowledge, including workflows, plugins, entities/tables, relationships, forms, views and dashboards.
• Solution architecture and integration experience with enterprise systems.
• Power Platform proficiency, including PowerApps and Power Automate, for custom applications and process automation.
• API integration experience, including REST, SOAP and Web API.
• Azure experience, including Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus and related services.
• C#, JavaScript or TypeScript programming proficiency.
• SQL and database-management knowledge, including data querying and database structures.
• Understanding of data-security best practices for sensitive data and access control.
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID, KISS and DRY principles.
• Proficiency with version-control systems.

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification, such as Functional Consultant, Solution Architect or Developer.
