Technology Specialist - Digital Integration Solution Architect

Digital Integration platforms enable business processes across global business units, supporting the secure, ultra-low-latency exchange of millions of messages daily. The platforms support federated and domain teams in developing and deploying interfaces, and standardized Digital Integrations have driven a 100-fold increase in monthly message traffic over the past five years.

As a Technology Specialist in the Solution Architect Digital Integration role, you will be a trusted solution advisor for Business Users and Federated Team Developers. You will help platform and delivery teams choose solutions for a highly scalable, resilient, and cost-effective integration environment, collaborate with Platform Architects on high-resilience solutions and integration standards, and safeguard end-to-end demand-to-operate processes for new integrations.

You will work closely with the Tribe Lead, Product Owners, Product Architect, Platform Architects, integration SMEs, Federated Team Leads, Business Users, and system-integration partners. The role focuses on guiding delivery teams in creating stable, reusable, scalable integration solutions; leading the discovery, creation, and deployment of integration standards, policies, and guidelines; and acting as the single point of contact for Federated Teams and Business Users.

You may also partner with vendors, suppliers, and agencies to understand integration trends, platform capabilities, and innovative designs that support scalability and reusability.

Integration Platform Landscape

The organization follows a non-native Hybrid Integration Platform strategy, with multiple platforms supporting distinct integration patterns:

• IPaaS: SAP PO, SAP CI, and MuleSoft
• EDA (Event-Driven Architecture): Boomi and Solace
• API: Azure API Management and GraphQL
• EDI+MFT: Seeburger

The integration landscape aims for maximum automation with UiPath, transparency with NewRelic, code quality with SonarQube, and consistent release management with Azure DevOps and CTS+.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural standards.
• Develop and maintain architectural guidelines, principles, and standards for integration development.
• Ensure alignment with best practices, industry standards, and IT strategy.
• Collaborate with the Tribe Lead to define the Solution Architect and Tribe vision, roadmap, and future capabilities.
• Support prioritization of new features and capabilities, considering technical challenges and long-term goals.
• Actively participate in the intake of new requirements.
• Understand business context and technical limitations, and guide teams toward the best solution for new integration requirements.
• Provide technical consultation and problem-solving.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for the Tribe Lead, Platform Architects, developers, and stakeholders on complex topics.
• Guide teams through challenges during intake and development.
• Lead analysis of existing integration solutions, identify architectural optimizations, and drive improvements.
• Understand business needs, gather feedback, and lead initiatives that address current needs and trends.
• Collect stakeholder feedback and propose actions to improve ways of working and maximize delivered value.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture designs, processes, and integrations.
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing and training sessions to onboard developers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in an architect role or similar role, preferably related to Digital Integration.
• Experience in solution design, requirements management, stakeholder management, and creating and maintaining architecture guidelines and policies.
• Strong knowledge of integration platforms, such as MuleSoft, TIBCO, Azure Integration Services, and SAP Integration Suite, including API management, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in designing scalable, reliable, high-performing integrations.
• Strong understanding of event-driven and API-driven architecture.
• Experience working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and a long-term vision.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, including native integration capabilities.
• Knowledge of cloud services including serverless architecture, storage, and identity management.
• Ability to communicate architectural designs, technical solutions, and platform needs effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration among developers, product owners, security teams, and business architects.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and workflows, especially in product-oriented setups.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools, such as Azure DevOps.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• TOGAF certification.
• Boomi, SAP, MuleSoft, or other integration-related certifications.
• Understanding of DevOps practices.
