For Digital Hub Warsaw, we are looking for a Senior Data Architect - Commercial.

The Data Assets, Analytics & AI department at Bayer Consumer Health focuses on enabling digital transformation by creating best-in-class analytical solutions, enabling data-driven decision making and performance optimization for Bayer’s Consumer Health organization.

You will be part of the global data assets, analytics and AI platform and responsible for technically guiding projects in Data & Analytics. You will partner with business stakeholders, data scientists, analytics leads, data and platform architects, engineers, and implementation partners/vendors, serving as the technical lead for scalable Core Data Assets/Data Products. You will ensure proper data management, data ingestion, data pipeline orchestration, and delivery of data for analysts.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Own and lead the technical implementation and management of well-integrated, enriched, reusable data models and analytics products.
• Collect and manage data requirements from data consumers; translate them into technical concepts with reusability and cost efficiency in mind; and partner with data providers.
• Define, apply, and continuously enhance best-practice data management and quality assurance processes and implementation frameworks.
• Collaborate with data architects, analytics leads, and data scientists to reuse data and build sustainable pipelines and analytical products.
• Collaborate with global and regional business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure delivery aligns with value, business priorities, and IT objectives.
• Lead integration of different data sources to develop globally harmonized data models and KPIs that meet market requirements.
• Steer internal and external data and BI engineering teams; provide cost and time estimates; challenge effort estimates; assure delivery quality and testing; and ensure proper handover to support.
• Contribute to best-practice exchange in the data architecture chapter and enhance the data analytics technology stack by providing project feedback and requirements.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, preferably in the CPG industry.
• Excellent data architecture, technology, and data engineering skills in Spark-based data processing solutions, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL, and Python. Snowflake is nice to have.
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques and the ability to mentor and support data engineers in best practices and implementation strategies.
• Strong knowledge of reporting solutions such as Tableau or Power BI, plus data management knowledge including data cataloguing, data quality management, and data compliance management.
• Strong GitHub ecosystem knowledge, including version control, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, tickets/issues, and pull requests. Understanding of Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Experience delivering data as a product and leading data engineering teams.
• Knowledge of commercial domain data, including CRM, eCommerce, and sell-out data.
• Experience applying Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, sound business judgment, and strong interpersonal, communication, active listening, consulting, and presentation skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English, intercultural awareness across Europe, the US, and India, and willingness to travel occasionally.
