Senior Software Engineer, Globalization

Senior • On-site

27,000 - 30,000 PLN/yr

Krakow, MA, Poland

About the role

Join the Global Experience Platform team to make products globally ready by design. Build internationalization infrastructure, translation pipelines, and AI-powered tooling so customer experiences feel locally made across languages, scripts, and locales.

Your work will support customers across 18+ languages and 175+ countries, helping launch countries and languages faster while improving localized experiences. You will partner with the Localization team and report to a Kraków-based Manager.

You Will

  • Own complex, team-level projects end-to-end: clarify requirements, break work into parallel tasks, and guide teammates toward on-time delivery.
  • Build AI/LLM-powered translation and orchestration tooling; evaluate models, design quality guardrails, and integrate them into production localization pipelines.
  • Build and maintain localization infrastructure, translation pipelines, and i18n tooling integrated with translation management systems (TMS).
  • Design CI/CD-integrated solutions for locale-specific rendering of currency, date/time, and numeric formats; text extraction and translation workflows; and pseudo-locale validation.
  • Standardize i18n frameworks and libraries across frontend and backend systems for date/time, currency, pluralization, and message formatting.
  • Build static code analysis and linting tooling to catch i18n defects before release and harden code paths to eliminate recurring localization bugs.
  • Expand language coverage through right-to-left and bidirectional support and transliteration tooling for accurate customer identity matching across scripts.
  • Operate what you build: monitor, debug, and improve the reliability of services, tooling, and translation pipelines in production.
  • Partner with backend, mobile, web, and content teams, and mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.

You Have

  • 6+ years of software development experience, including internationalization/localization engineering and leading delivery of complex features within a team.
  • Strong programming ability in Go and JavaScript/TypeScript, including React Native and modern web frameworks such as Next.js and Astro; or deep experience in a comparable ecosystem such as Java, Kotlin, or C#/.NET, with a track record of learning new stacks quickly.
  • Experience applying AI/LLMs in production workflows, with sound judgment on when automation should and should not replace human review. Translation or content pipeline experience is ideal.
  • Working knowledge of internationalization standards and locale-aware formatting, including Unicode and ICU/CLDR-based libraries.
  • Proven ability to build or evolve localization systems and translation pipelines at scale.
  • Experience with modern software development practices, including code reviews and secure coding standards, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience shipping RTL/bidirectional language support in production.
  • Experience with localizability audits and pseudo-locale validation.
  • Hands-on experience with TMS platforms such as Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling, or Transifex; ICU/CLDR internals; and localization interchange formats such as XLIFF.
  • Experience in fintech or another regulated industry.
