About the Role

Roofstock is looking to hire an analytical, entrepreneurial Asset Management Analyst to join the Investment Management team. This role requires strong financial and P&L knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and proficiency in Sigma or a similar analytics platform to support optimization of rental portfolios.

The Analyst will own budget builds and monthly variance reviews, support key decisions across the investment lifecycle, monitor market and investor performance trends, maintain models, build reporting, and leverage AI-powered workflows to enhance performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage budget builds and lead monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis for assigned portfolios
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for investors and leadership
  • Produce financial reports and maintain models for lender tape deliverables and investor reporting
  • Review portfolio performance and recommend strategies to improve NOI, occupancy, revenue, rent growth, renewals, turns, and leasing velocity
  • Conduct financial analysis to support hold/sell decisions and portfolio expansion opportunities
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data across multiple systems
  • Use Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma, and reporting tools to analyze large data sets and validate reporting
  • Monitor actuals versus budget using advanced Excel financial models
  • Use AI tools and emerging technologies to improve reporting accuracy and automate workflows
  • Identify and implement product and data enhancements for analytics and reporting capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 4–5+ years of experience in real estate, asset management, financial analysis, FP&A, or related analytical role
  • Strong understanding of portfolio financials and P&L
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, financial modeling, variance analysis, and data visualization
  • Proficiency in Sigma or similar analytics platform
  • Experience with SQL is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience operating in AI-powered workflows
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and in fast-paced environments
  • High degree of ownership and bias toward action

Compensation
