About the Role
Roofstock is looking to hire an analytical, entrepreneurial, and experienced Asset Manager to join the Mynd Investment Management team. This role focuses on optimizing rental properties across geographies to achieve desired investment outcomes while influencing high-value operating decisions to maximize NOI. The Asset Manager advises property managers throughout the investment lifecycle including leasing, marketing, renewals, rent recommendations, revenue management, capex, budget review, variance analysis, portfolio expansion, and dispositions.
The role also plays a critical part in monitoring market and investor performance trends, maintaining financial models, developing reporting, and enhancing overall company performance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Asset Management clients and own accurate, timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc performance reporting
- Develop recommendations aligned with each institutional partner's investment strategy
- Analyze portfolio performance to improve NOI, occupancy, revenue, rent growth, renewals, turns, and leasing velocity
- Partner cross-functionally with Property Management, Leasing, Rent Underwriting, Construction, Accounting, Data, Dispositions, and Acquisitions
- Support annual budgets for SFR portfolios and BTR communities
- Lead monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis and validate results with Accounting
- Use Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma, and reporting tools to analyze large datasets and produce actionable insights
- Develop dashboards, KPI reporting, and ad hoc analyses with data teams
- Maintain financial models and produce lender and investor reporting
- Conduct hold/sell analysis and support acquisition and disposition strategy
- Improve SOPs, workflows, trackers, and templates
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve reporting accuracy and automate workflows
- Maintain broad market knowledge and participate in occasional market visits
Qualifications
- 5+ years of asset management experience in multifamily, BTR, or SFR properties
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of operational and financial drivers including NOI
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with Sigma or similar BI tools
- Experience building annual budgets and performing variance analysis
- Ability to translate financial results into operational insights
- Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Comfort with technology, AI, automation, and process improvement
Travel Required
Occasional market visits required.
Compensation
$110,000 - $140,000 annual base salary plus eligibility for quarterly performance incentives.
