Position Summary
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Community Manager in daily property operations with an emphasis on accounts payable, customer service, leasing support, and operational oversight.
Assistant Managers play a critical role in maintaining smooth community operations and delivering exceptional resident experiences.
What You'll Do
- Support team members and the Community Manager through mentoring, communication, and leadership
- Lead resident relations and support fellow team members with operational guidance
- Supervise vendors and ensure professional service standards across property operations
- Work with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals and maintain occupancy
- Strengthen resident experiences through effective communication and emotional intelligence
- Deliver excellent customer service and support resident retention
- Walk apartments and prepare move-in materials including keys and lock changes
- Resolve resident conflicts promptly with consistent follow-up
- Monitor curb appeal, lead management, and compliance audits
- Ensure properties are maintained to high market standards
- Support day-to-day operations and ensure policy and training compliance
- Maintain vendor relationships and manage bids for community projects
- Oversee billing, cash flow, delinquency management, and month-end reporting
- Approve and code invoices for payment
- Post rent and utility charges, manage collections, write-offs, and delinquent accounts
- Support budget management and financial performance goals
- Complete financial reporting and analysis according to schedule and ownership requirements
- Coordinate with the Concierge Team on resident service charges
- Report budget variances to the Community Manager
What We're Looking For

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of property management experience including on-site experience
- Supervisory experience with 200+ unit communities
- Experience writing and maintaining budgets
- Proficiency in Yardi Voyager property management software
- General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with email and internet platforms
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm
- Pay: $25-$28/hour plus bonuses
- Multi-Site: 258 apartments across 4 buildings
- Office located in Arvada, Colorado
