About the Role

The Manager, Sales Planning – East serves as a key commercial leader responsible for integrating sales, demand, and inventory planning across the Eastern grocery region. The role partners with Sales, Brand, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT teams to improve forecasting accuracy, optimize trade investments, and support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and demand planning aligned with revenue, volume, and trade investment targets.
  • Drive the end-to-end planning calendar with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Improve analytical rigor through data-driven insights and scenario modeling.
  • Build team capabilities in forecasting, analytics, and communication.
  • Own monthly sales forecast accuracy and integration into demand planning.
  • Manage forecasting reviews based on market dynamics and promotional activity.
  • Partner with Finance to align forecasts with financial objectives.
  • Oversee ROI analysis and trade promotion effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve investment efficiency and profitability.
  • Monitor customer inventory levels and prevent out-of-stocks or overstocks.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain on inventory and service level goals.
  • Design scalable planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Enhance TPM, ERP, and BI system capabilities with IT and Data teams.
  • Establish KPIs to improve commercial planning effectiveness.
  • Provide executive leadership with insights into forecast risks and sales execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Planning, Demand Planning, or Commercial Analytics.
  • Experience in CPG or Food & Beverage industries preferred.
  • Experience managing complex planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT.
  • Proficiency with trade promotion management systems such as Exceedra or Confido.
  • Intermediate Excel and BI tools skills.
  • SAP Business One knowledge is a plus.

Work Structure

The role follows a hybrid schedule with four days onsite weekly and flexible Fridays.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $135,000-$155,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities Include: Strategic Sales Planning Leadership - Lead the development of sales and demand plans, aligning volume, revenue, and trade investment targets with company strategy. - Drive the end-to-end planning calendar, ensuring alignment and timely input from cross-functional partners including brand, sales, planning, and finance. - Challenge assumptions and elevate the analytical rigor of commercial plans through data-driven insights and scenario modeling.
