Build the Future of Cancer Care in the Lakes Region

Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer Care is seeking two board-certified/board-eligible Medical Oncologists to play a pivotal role in developing a new medical oncology practice in Laconia, New Hampshire. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of cancer care in a community with a significant and increasing need for oncology services. Providers will collaborate clinically with independent community partners in Medical and Radiation Oncology, as well as surgical specialists, to provide state-of-the-art oncology care in Central New Hampshire.

The Payson Center for Cancer Care is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer (CoC) as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center. The program delivers fully integrated, multidisciplinary cancer care, bringing together medical, radiation, and surgical oncology alongside oncology-trained nurse navigators, social workers, and nutritionists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered treatment.

Position Highlights

  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in medical oncology and hematology, including evaluation, treatment planning, and longitudinal follow-up.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care.
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards and Cancer Committee initiatives.
  • Contribute to program growth, quality improvement, and service line development.
  • Engage in clinical trials and advance innovative oncology care.
  • Demonstrate commitment to clinical excellence, professional growth, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine
  • Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology (ABIM)
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of New Hampshire
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-care skills
