Job Description

We are seeking a Data Product Manager for Government Systems to join our Data Product & Operations team. In this role, you will take ownership of mapping, prioritizing, and tracking the integration of government data systems into the Ark platform. Working with Sales, Implementation Engineers, and Engagement Managers, you will become an expert in key government data systems critical to customers’ daily workflows and translate system nuances into product insights that inform workflow development within Ark.

You will develop, document, and maintain the data integration plan and partner with engineering and security accreditations teams to create technical implementation plans for each data system. This role requires strong cross-team collaboration, communication across technical and non-technical audiences, and hands-on experience working with government clients and data systems at a technical level. This is a full-time position based in Arlington, VA, with 25–50% travel required.

Scope of Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the government systems data roadmap aligned with current and future data needs
• Partner with Go-To-Market and Product teams to document capabilities, users, and data contained within targeted systems
• Identify and document overlaps and gaps in current data coverage and align with expansion plans
• Attend technical customer meetings and conduct customer interviews to deepen system understanding
• Partner with the Security Accreditations team to develop internal procedures for data access and governance

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Data Analysis, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Four or more years of experience working with government data systems
• Four or more years of experience with SQL, Python, or equivalent programming language
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Experience with Generative AI technologies

Desired Skills:

• Current U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one
• Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment
• Master’s degree in a related field
• 3+ years of experience with government data systems such as JUPITER, ADVANA, BLADE, or similar systems
• Familiarity with defense acquisition processes and related data sources
• Experience managing data-related projects and initiatives
