Job Description

We are seeking a customer-obsessed product manager to drive the development and integration of AI/ML capabilities within Ark. This is an individual contributor role responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering AI/ML solutions that enhance Applications and transform how users make critical decisions.

As the AI/ML Product Manager, you will own the AI/ML roadmap and be accountable for identifying opportunities where artificial intelligence and machine learning can deliver meaningful value to customers. You will translate complex technical capabilities into user-friendly solutions and ensure the successful integration of models and algorithms into the platform. You will think strategically about positioning AI/ML capabilities, identifying competitive advantages, and driving strategic differentiation through intelligent features. You will partner with data scientists, ML engineers, application-aligned PMs, and engagement teams to identify high-impact use cases, define requirements for ML-powered features, and ensure scalable delivery of intelligent capabilities. In this role, you will bridge the gap between AI/ML research and practical defense acquisition applications.

You must possess a moderate technical understanding of AI/ML methodologies and emerging technologies, combined with strong product judgment to identify opportunities where AI/ML can deliver measurable customer value. You must work effectively cross-functionally in ambiguous environments, translating technical capabilities into clear product requirements and articulating value to non-technical stakeholders.

In a typical week, you may:

  • Spend time on site with users to understand pain points and identify AI/ML automation or predictive opportunities
  • Write detailed product requirements documents (PRDs) and user stories for AI/ML features
  • Collaborate with data science and AI/ML engineering teams to assess solution feasibility
  • Partner with designers and Application PMs to integrate AI/ML capabilities into workflows
  • Work with sales to articulate AI/ML value propositions and assess market demand
  • Define success metrics for AI/ML initiatives

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the AI/ML product strategy and roadmap aligned with mission and customer needs
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact AI/ML opportunities
  • Validate concepts using value proposition canvas and business model canvas; build and defend business cases
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis
  • Partner with data science, AI/ML, and engineering teams to scope investment, timelines, and delivery
  • Facilitate market introduction of new features while balancing risk, cost, and speed
  • Ensure smooth integration of prototyped features into the platform across customer accounts

This role may require up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years focused on AI/ML or data-driven solutions
  • Experience with ML development lifecycle, including data preparation, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring
  • Proven track record of launching AI/ML products or features in production environments
  • Strong customer value orientation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technology-related field
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Desired Skills:

  • Current U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience related to defense or government environments
  • Full product lifecycle experience from ideation through maintenance
  • Familiarity with value proposition canvas and/or business model canvas frameworks
  • Advanced degree in business or technical field
