Description

This full-time Physician Advisor role is designed for an experienced physician leader transitioning from direct clinical care into a high-impact leadership position. You will review medical necessity and utilization, support appeals and denial management, and partner with case management, CDI, and hospital leadership to improve documentation, patient throughput, and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical necessity and utilization reviews
• Support appeals and denial management activities
• Partner with case management, CDI, and hospital leadership teams
• Provide physician-to-physician consultation and education
• Promote regulatory compliance and appropriate resource utilization
• Drive improvements in documentation, patient throughput, and quality outcomes

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certification required
• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Hospital-based clinical experience required
• Experience with utilization management, medical necessity review, case management, CDI, denials/appeals, or Physician Advisor functions strongly preferred
