Description

Locum tenens Urology Physician assignment for 13 weeks at an acute care hospital, providing 24-hour on-call coverage. The role focuses on diagnosing and managing urological disorders, performing urological surgical interventions, and coordinating patient care with a multidisciplinary team. You will also provide consultations for critically ill patients and educate patients on conditions, treatment options, and post-care management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage urological disorders (e.g., UTIs, kidney stones, prostate issues)

• Perform surgical interventions including cystoscopies, nephrectomies, and prostatectomies

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans

• Provide consultation services regarding critically ill patients

• Educate patients on conditions, treatment options, and post-care management

• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Urology residency training accredited by ACGME or AOA

• (If required) Urology fellowship training

• Board certification in urology by ABU or AOBS

• Active and unrestricted medical license in West Virginia

• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred
