Description

Provide temporary urology coverage for an acute care hospital, including diagnosis and management of urologic disorders and performance of key urologic procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, consult with other clinicians for critically ill patients, and educate patients on treatment and post-care plans.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage urological disorders (e.g., UTIs, kidney stones, prostate issues)

• Perform surgical interventions including cystoscopies, nephrectomies, and prostatectomies

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans

• Provide consultations to other team members regarding critically ill patients

• Educate patients on conditions, treatment options, and post-care management

• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Urology residency training accredited by ACGME or AOA

• (If required) Fellowship training in a urology specialty

• Board certification in urology (ABU) or AOBS

• Active and unrestricted Arizona medical license

• Experience: at least 1 year in a clinical setting is preferred
