Description

As the regional Chief Medical Officer–level leader, you will serve as the clinical architect for a new market in Indiana. You will develop and execute the clinical strategy that drives growth, quality, and value-based success, while building an engaged physician leadership team and partnering with executive leadership and health system partners. The role requires Epic EMR experience and significant in-market travel.

Responsibilities

• Launch and lead a regional physician organization
• Develop and execute clinical strategy for growth, quality, and value-based care
• Build and lead physician leadership, including engagement, succession planning, and leadership development
• Champion clinical excellence, patient safety, and evidence-based care across multiple practice locations
• Advance population health initiatives and innovative care delivery models
• Partner with Chief Medical Officer, CEO, Market Presidents, and executive leadership to shape regional strategy
• Foster relationships with hospitals, specialists, employers, and community stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, operational performance, and patient outcomes

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Current unrestricted physician license
• Board Certification
• 15+ years of progressive physician leadership experience
• Executive leadership experience within a physician organization, health system, or integrated delivery network
• Proven success leading multisite clinical operations, quality improvement, physician engagement, and value-based care
• Experience driving clinical transformation, population health initiatives, and organizational growth
• Epic EMR experience required (clinical practice and/or physician leadership)
• Substantial travel and consistent in-market presence throughout the Indiana territory

• Base salary: $350,000–$470,000 (commensurate with experience)

Travel & Market Presence

• Substantial travel throughout the assigned Indiana territory
• Preferred home base locations: South Bend, Indiana or Indianapolis, Indiana
• Candidates in Chicago, Illinois or Gary, Indiana may be considered with strong commitment to in-market travel and engagement
