Description

Lead the technical vision and delivery of AEM solutions from conception to Production. You create detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs) including exact JSON/API contracts, build Proof of Concepts and complex OSGi services, and translate business requirements into actionable tickets. You also provide technical governance, performance engineering, and escalation support for complex issues across the AEM stack.

Responsibilities

• Produce LLDs and break work into Jira tickets with clear acceptance criteria

• Define JSON structure, API contracts, Sling Model logic, and dialog/content requirements

• Build POCs and core frameworks (e.g., OSGi services) and stay hands-on

• Design system architecture including content models, workflows, and integrations (CRM, Commerce, DAM)

• Enforce AEM development standards via code reviews and security audits

• Lead performance optimization: caching (Dispatcher/CDN), expensive query optimization, and memory/leak prevention

• Mentor developers through pair programming and code reviews; act as escalation point for hard bugs

Requirements

• 10+ years total experience, with at least 5 years as an AEM Architect or Lead Developer

• Expert Java (J2EE) in the OSGi context, including thread safety and diagnosing memory leaks

• Deep, hands-on AEM expertise (AEM as a Cloud Service), OSGi, Sling, JCR/Oak, and Dispatcher

• Experience designing robust integrations using modern REST/JSON APIs

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Cloud Manager or Jenkins (commit-to-production lifecycle)
