Description

Lead the standardization and scaling of the software development environment for embedded, desktop, and cloud applications. Establish agentic AI and automation as part of everyday developer workflows, define developer guidelines and guardrails in tooling, and run platform operations including virtual machines for build and test agents. Ensure information security and cyber-security compliance for global R&D and drive measurable improvements using developer experience and productivity metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team building a standardized, scalable developer platform (tooling, self-service workflows, and virtual development environments) for embedded, desktop, and cloud applications

• Define guidelines and guardrails for developers and agents and integrate them into workflows and tooling to enforce architecture, coding, and quality standards

• Own platform operations, including virtual machines for build and test agents, and set up monitoring, escalation paths, and operating procedures

• Ensure information security and cyber-security requirements are met and support internal and external audits

• Measure success using developer experience and productivity metrics and drive adoption from product teams for the shared platform

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or comparable technical field

• Extensive leadership experience in software development and IT systems

• Deep knowledge of information security and cyber security in R&D organizations

• Strong experience with agentic AI across the software development lifecycle; knowledge of embedded and cloud applications

• Entrepreneurial mindset, decision-making ability, and capability to communicate agile ways of working

• Fluent German and English
