Description

Design, develop, test, and improve software components and applications by translating business and technical requirements into code and test plans. Build and maintain microservices-based systems using Java Spring Boot, Kafka, Azure, and Kubernetes, ensuring security, scalability, availability, and strong maintainability. Own automation for CI/CD, telemetry, defect/regression testing, performance troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance/re-engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing software solutions and align engineering work to business and stakeholder requirements

• Create and maintain requirement traceability matrices between business requirements, functional requirements, design, and test cases

• Contribute to user story creation

• Develop and configure software components and applications to meet functional and non-functional requirements

• Assist in selecting development standards, tools, and coding languages/frameworks

• Build automation scripts for repetitive tasks in CI/CD, testing, or other processes

• Implement telemetry independently as required

• Apply security policy requirements to components/applications during development/configuration

• Map customer requirements into test objectives; create and execute test cases

• Execute different testing types to detect defects; run regression testing after changes

• Track, analyze, and troubleshoot defects; prevent recurrence

• Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks; monitor metrics from logs/performance data

• Conduct complex maintenance procedures independently; perform corrective/adaptive/perfective and re-engineering activities

• Evaluate software change requests for validity and feasibility

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field, OR bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of software engineering or related experience

• Experience with Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture

• Experience with Azure, Kafka, Jenkins CI/CD, Git/GitHub, SQL/NoSQL, and Kubernetes

• Experience testing with JUnit and Mockito and managing the development lifecycle with JIRA

• Ability to document service/application flow and architecture
