Description

Drive operational IT security and implement practical solutions in areas such as endpoint security, vulnerability management, and identity & access management. You will administer and secure Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Defender services, manage Windows and Linux systems, and handle client management with software packaging and distribution. You will also support audits and certifications (especially ISO 27001/ISMS) and contribute to a secure, stable, and high-performing IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Advance operational IT security and implement concrete solutions with the responsible teams; act as a contact for IT security topics within the infrastructure

• Administer and secure Microsoft 365, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for Cloud, and further develop these topics together with the team

• Administer Windows and Linux systems and take ownership of client management including software packaging and distribution

• Lead tasks in infrastructure projects independently, collaborate with the team on solutions, and create technical documentation

• Support the team in Client Support for Microsoft 365, VPN, and Webex

• Assist with the preparation and execution of audits and certifications, especially ISO 27001/ISMS, to strengthen processes and systems

• Work with the team to ensure secure, performant, and stable IT

Requirements

• Solid operational IT security experience, especially in Endpoint Security, vulnerability management, and Identity & Access Management

• Very good Windows knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Cloud and local hybrid infrastructure (M365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange)

• Several years of IT support and Windows administration experience, with openness to working with Linux systems

• Experience installing and configuring Windows clients and servers; experience with software packaging and software distribution

• Experience contributing to or accompanying audits and certifications, ideally in the ISO 27001 / ISMS environment

• Experience independently implementing technical infrastructure projects

• Independent, solution-oriented, and pragmatic working style with focus on quality and results

• Ability to explain technical relationships clearly and appropriately for the target audience

• Strong communication, helpfulness, and teamwork, with willingness to develop further together with the team

• Completed IT training (Fachinformatik), a degree, or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience

• Knowledge of PowerShell or Bash; Microsoft or Security certifications are a plus
