Description

You will be responsible for administering and continuously improving the organization’s central security infrastructure to keep networks running and systems secure. The role includes proactive vulnerability management, analysis of security alerts, and leading incident-response measures in critical situations. You will also optimize a hybrid environment based on Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure/Entra ID, support audits, and contribute to security and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer and further develop the central security infrastructure
• Conduct proactive vulnerability management and analyze security alerts
• Execute incident-response measures during security incidents
• Administer and optimize the hybrid environment (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID)
• Support internal audits, ensure regulatory requirements are implemented, and create security reports for management
• Collaborate with the team and external partners on IT security and infrastructure projects
• Support 2nd- and 3rd-level support

Requirements

• Completed IT-related degree or IT technical training with further qualification as a state-certified technician (or equivalent)
• 6–8 years of professional experience; strong knowledge of network technology and complex IT system administration
• Experience in IT security; knowledge of IT standards and certifications such as BSI IT-Grundschutz, NIS/NIS2, and SIEM
• Safe handling of security solutions and Microsoft environments including Windows Server, Defender, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
• Experience with IT automation tools
• Structured, independent, solution-oriented working style
• Enjoy working with people and explaining technical challenges clearly
• Good German skills (written and spoken); English is advantageous
