Description

Provide senior staff operational advice, guidance, and oversight for the 24/7/365 DoD Network Operations Center. Serve as the J6-DoDNet Operations Branch’s future operations strategic planner, responsible for agency-wide operational management of the development, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise network. Act as the focal point for DoDNet service operations (service administration, operational guidance, and program decision-making) and deliver technical products such as white papers, action reports, and briefings to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational management and strategic planning for enterprise-wide DoDNet network development and maintenance
• Advise on service operations including service administration and operational guidance for network components and tools
• Participate in senior-level panels, working groups, and committees to coordinate actions affecting the DoDNet Area of Operations
• Review, analyze, evaluate, and oversee project progress and performance using IT technology and IT Service Management processes
• Innovate and implement new methods and principles for service operations (design, implementation, administration)
• Prepare and present white papers, action reports, briefings, and presentations

Requirements

• U.S. citizen
• Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI access
• Complete DoD 8140 Foundational Qualifications within 9 months and Residential Qualification requirements within 12 months
• Drug testing designated position
• Ability to travel within CONUS up to 10–20%
• Mission Essential; may require physical reporting/relocation during emergencies and recall during off-shift hours
• Qualifying IT experience at/above senior level; no substitution of education for qualifying experience at GG-14
