Description

Lead the planning and execution of technology delivery for application development and modernization initiatives across multiple backend systems, including enterprise-scale internal and external solutions (e.g., core banking). Maintain transparency over technology activities—risks, dependencies, issues, and status reporting—including triage/intake, SDLC artifact creation/storage, governance reporting, and closeout/transition to business-as-usual. Support Azure-based initiatives in highly regulated financial services using structured change management and delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of technology work products for application development and modernization

• Tailor and apply Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, and Hybrid delivery approaches based on complexity and regulatory needs

• Develop and maintain deliverable schedules; identify, communicate, and mitigate schedule risks and inter-project dependencies

• Support estimation and financial tracking: baseline initiative costs, manage budgets, track spend, monitor forecasts, and review vendor invoices

• Coordinate analysis, documentation, and approval of technology-related change requests; ensure governance and use tools such as ServiceNow

• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives, particularly in Microsoft Azure

• Prepare and deliver timely status updates, milestone reports, and governance/audit information responses

• Ensure SDLC documentation, artifacts, records, and deliverables are created, maintained, and centrally stored

• Build cross-functional relationships and facilitate meetings to align delivery expectations and decisions

Requirements

• Experience managing technology projects for application development teams in financial services or another regulated environment

• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, and Hybrid delivery models

• Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and executive status reporting

• Knowledge of SDLC governance and documentation requirements, including creation/storage of SDLC artifacts

• Experience coordinating technology change using processes/tools such as ServiceNow

• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure migration and modernization initiatives

• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Planview, and ServiceNow

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Preferred: PMP or equivalent; Optional: Scrum and/or Azure certification
