Description

You will lead cloud and network strategy and drive the migration from legacy infrastructure to a modern, cloud-based banking platform built on Microsoft Azure. The role covers infrastructure design, cloud migration, network transformation, and operational resilience, while reducing legacy technology risk and enabling modern capabilities for core banking functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, and configuration of the Azure cloud environment for the transformation program

• Assess and remediate a fragmented network landscape; consolidate and simplify connectivity across environments

• Resolve connectivity and integration challenges between Banking and Securities platforms

• Design and implement network architectures including Availability Zones, High Availability & Disaster Recovery, failover, and resilience/business continuity frameworks

• Evaluate and recommend multi-cloud strategy, architecture, and operational implications

• Drive migration from US-hosted infrastructure to a modern cloud-based architecture

• Partner with US technology teams to align global standards and existing implementations

• Ensure solutions meet regulatory, security, and operational resilience requirements (including PRA expectations)

• Provide technical leadership across cloud networking, infrastructure architecture, and transformation initiatives

• Support broader technology modernisation while minimizing disruption

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure infrastructure solutions

• Proven track record leading complex cloud migration and infrastructure transformation programs

• Strong expertise across Azure Networking, Hybrid Cloud Connectivity, Network Security, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, and Identity and Access Management

• Deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, connectivity, and large-scale network transformation

• Experience operating within highly regulated environments, ideally banking or financial services

• Knowledge of infrastructure resilience, disaster recovery, and operational continuity frameworks

• Excellent stakeholder management skills across international teams

• Ability to lead technical strategy while staying hands-on when needed
