Description

Own the design and implementation of production cloud services and platform components for a secure, scalable, cloud-native robotics platform. Build and operate cloud-native services for robot onboarding and identity, fleet and mission management, telemetry and observability, digital twins, simulation, and software lifecycle management. Deliver scalable backend services and secure APIs/SDKs/spec-driven integration components for heterogeneous robots, improving reliability, security, and performance throughout production.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate robotics cloud services and platform components

• Build scalable backend services and APIs using distributed systems and microservice architectures

• Develop secure APIs, SDKs, service contracts, and edge integration components

• Contribute to AI-assisted, spec-driven robot onboarding (specs, adapters, SDK generation, validation, developer workflows)

• Build integrations across robotics frameworks, simulation environments, autonomous systems, AI models, and edge devices

• Connect simulation, telemetry, AI evaluation, and deployment workflows

• Support platform capabilities for VLM/VLA, multimodal, embodied AI, and agentic robotics applications

• Improve reliability, scalability, observability, security, and performance

• Write maintainable, well-tested production code and participate in reviews, debugging, testing, and production operations

• Collaborate across robotics, AI, cloud infrastructure, security, and product teams using an AI-native engineering process

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field

• 3+ years of software development experience building backend services, distributed systems, cloud platforms, robotics software, or related production systems

• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or C++

• Experience developing APIs, backend services, or distributed systems

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, and container orchestration

• Experience building reliable, maintainable, well-tested production software

• Ability to own design and implementation of meaningful software components

• Strong design, debugging, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
