Description

You will help develop and maintain Schwab’s flagship thinkorswim Desktop trading platform, contributing to complex, performance-sensitive backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design and support highly performant, multi-threaded backend systems for the trading platform

• Apply analytical thinking to complex software design and technical analysis

• Serve as a subject-matter expert for back-end core services and make thoughtful technical decisions

• Support secure development practices to protect reliability and software integrity

• Work with transactional market data in collaboration with other developers to deliver dependable technology

Requirements

• Demonstrated backend development experience building and maintaining complex, performance-sensitive systems

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking to evaluate complex technical issues and make sound decisions

• Experience applying secure development practices to back-end core services

• Ability to work effectively with transactional data in highly performant, multi-threaded, resilient systems

• Strong collaboration skills in an innovative, technically challenging environment
