Description

You will design and develop scalable backend services and APIs for a cloud-native banking platform built on open APIs. You will lead or contribute to database modernization and migration initiatives, including PostgreSQL schema, queries, and performance tuning. You will collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders, participate in code reviews and production support, and use AI-assisted development tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs

• Lead or contribute to database migration and modernization projects

• Analyze applications and databases to identify dependencies, risks, and technical requirements

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, partitions, triggers, and stored procedures

• Ensure data integrity, security, reliability, and performance during development and migration

• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly (design, implementation, testing, documentation, troubleshooting)

• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, production support, and mentoring

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software-engineering experience

• Experience developing production backend systems in Go or another modern programming language

• Ability and willingness to become productive in Go

• 3+ years of relational database experience (design, optimization, data-migration)

• Strong PostgreSQL experience (or comparable enterprise RDBMS experience)

• Experience with query optimization, indexing, data modeling, partitioning, triggers, and stored procedures

• Experience operating applications or databases in a cloud environment

• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools with independent validation

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering/related field, or equivalent education and experience

• Must have valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship
