• Role: Magento Backend Developer (backend-focused, B2B collaboration)

Description

You will design and implement modular, scalable backend solutions for headless commerce in line with MACH principles, building and integrating APIs with CMS, PIM, payments, and delivery services. You will develop microservices and event-driven integrations, define CI/CD pipelines and IaC, and ensure performance, security, and observability. You will also build Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services to orchestrate complex interactions between systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modular, scalable solutions following MACH principles

• Develop and integrate APIs for headless commerce, CMS, PIM, payments, and logistics/delivery

• Build and deploy microservices in containerized or serverless environments

• Define IaC and CI/CD pipelines for project and production environments

• Ensure high performance, security, and maintainability of distributed systems

• Build BFF and orchestrate complex interactions between services

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to implement and optimize user experiences

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of backend experience

• Solid hands-on experience with PHP 8, Magento, and Symfony; knowledge of MACH architecture

• Experience with headless commerce and composable architecture integrations (CMS/PIM/payments)

• Ability to design REST/GraphQL APIs with versioning and security (OAuth/JWT)

• Experience building microservices and integrating event-driven systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ and similar, plus webhooks)

• English proficiency for working with documentation and international collaboration

• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and automated tests (unit/integration/e2e)

• Experience with observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) and incident resolution

• Knowledge of web performance best practices and ability to diagnose and propose solutions

• Knowledge of caching mechanisms and profiling techniques to drive real performance improvements
