Description

Perform routine patient care, support, and services within the legal scope of practice and established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Support the patient’s plan of care with sound judgment and developed clinical skills, while educating and building cooperation with patients, families, and the care team. Adhere to all applicable regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care and support in alignment with policies and standards
• Assist with the patient’s plan of care based on the diagnosis, in a timely manner
• Use education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to build cooperation
• Communicate patient-care information clearly to patients and diverse audiences
• Follow safety/privacy regulations and established procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification
• Proficiency with fundamental patient-care techniques, standard clinical procedures, and routine medical equipment
• Knowledge of appropriate emergency care for the role (e.g., chest compressions and dialing 911)
• Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Written and verbal communication skills for professional explanations
• Time management and organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines
• General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks with interruptions
