Description

Provide outpatient orthopedic care focused on fracture evaluation and management, joint aspiration, and pain/inflammation control. Interpret imaging studies, perform ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections, and apply casts/splints/braces to immobilize and support healing. Coordinate diagnosis and treatment with radiology, orthopedic surgeons, and rehabilitation teams in both clinic and telehealth.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose fractures using clinical evaluation and imaging

• Administer non-surgical fracture reductions

• Monitor and adjust treatment plans during healing

• Perform joint aspirations to diagnose effusions or infections

• Administer intra-articular injections for pain and inflammation using ultrasound

• Apply casts, splints, and orthopedic bracing; ensure proper alignment and immobilization

• Review and interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies

• Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons on diagnosis and treatment

• Coordinate patient care and rehabilitation with physical and occupational therapy

Requirements

• 6 months of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider (FNP/APRN or PA)

• 6 months of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections

• Master’s degree preferred

• NY State NP license

• DEA license
