Description

Provide locum tenens cardiothoracic surgical coverage in Grand Forks, North Dakota, including inpatient care, surgeries, rounding, and afternoon outpatient consults. The assignment includes daily surgical caseloads (typically 1–2 surgeries per day, Mon–Fri) and full 24/7 call coverage supported by an experienced CT team and operating room staff. Procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, pericardial windows, lung resections, and select vascular operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient rounding and provide call coverage

• Deliver cardiothoracic surgeries (typically 1–2 per day, Mon–Fri)

• Provide post-surgery care and afternoon outpatient consults

Requirements

• Board Certified

• Proven experience with CABG

• Proven experience with valve repair and replacement

• Experience with pericardial window procedures

• Experience with lung resections

• Experience with vascular surgery including endarterectomies

• ND license or IMLC

• Ability to cover 24/7 call coverage for the full assignment
