Description

Provide inpatient pediatric neurology coverage in a hospital setting, including rounds with the resident team and multidisciplinary collaboration. Manage patients across inpatient units, ICU, NICU, Emergency Department, and inpatient consult services, with overnight pager call coverage and call volume of approximately 4–8 per night. Document patient care using Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour inpatient pediatric neurology coverage

• Round with the resident team and collaborate with multidisciplinary providers

• Evaluate and manage patients in inpatient units, ICU, NICU, Emergency Department, and inpatient consult services

• Remain on-site during the day; provide overnight pager call coverage

• Respond to approximately 4–8 consult and caregiver calls per night

• Document care using Epic EMR

Requirements

• MD/DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Neurology

• Active South Carolina medical license or ability to obtain before start

• Prior locum/travel experience preferred

• Experience providing inpatient pediatric neurology care

• Comfortable working with resident physicians in an academic environment
