Description

Experienced OB/GYN PA/NP needed for inpatient and surgical locum tenens coverage for about 3 months in Massachusetts. Duties include OB/L&D and postpartum patient management, inpatient and emergency GYN consults, post-operative rounding, and surgical first assist for C-sections and emergency GYN cases. Documentation is completed in Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN coverage across inpatient and emergency services

• Assist with management of OB/L&D and postpartum patients

• Manage inpatient and Emergency Department GYN consultations

• Perform post-operative GYN rounding and patient management

• Provide surgical first-assist support for Cesarean sections and emergency GYN surgical cases

• Assist with OB/L&D and maternity floor coverage

• Participate in triage management

• Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring

• Collaborate with PA, CNM, and OB physician teams

• Work alongside 24/7 OB/GYN physician and advanced practice provider support

• Document patient care using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts PA license with NCCPA certification or active Massachusetts NP license

• PA: Surgical First Assist experience, including C-section first assist and emergency GYN surgery first assist

• PA: Fetal heart rate interpretation experience

• NP: Certification to First Assist in the OR; surgical OB/GYN experience

• Midwives may be considered if NP-certified and First Assist certified

• Prior locum/travel experience preferred

• Epic experience preferred
